26.2 miles it is!

mark and i got spots for the full sf marathon last week courtesy of a very cool friend from work. we're so excited! i can't believe we'll be running 26.2 miles at the end of july -- it'll be our first ever marathon race. i can't wait to check out the sights/views of san francisco. i know, we live here... but still, it would be so cool to see random things along the course; including running the golden gate bridge out and back (we've walked it before). i just hope that come race day we'll both be ready (better be!) and that the weather will be awful! yes, i like running in awful weather. what's my definition of awful? let's say i hope it's a typical july day -- ugly and miserable-looking in the morning with the fog and drizzly mists. that way, the weather will be super cool, perfect for a race! running in cold weather is so much nicer than running in hot weather. the colder it is, the better -- that just means my time will be better! of course, the fog can clear up and the sun can come out, once the race is over. now, it would really suck (to run) if come july 29 and it's a gorgeous sun-shining day. ahhh... guess we'll just have to wait and see.

alright, enough said. in the mean time, i got to get training (or just run!). need to get my pace back down again. it's been a struggle, still is... since october, post-baby. my pace is still extremely slow. i need to keep at it to ensure i can run this marathon under 4:30. that's really wishful thinking. of course, if i was back down to normal pace again, a 4 hour time would be most ideal. lalalala.. we'll see! stay tune. :)

  • Eat more healthy (plan more meals)
  • Complete one full round of P90X :)
  • Get down to 95lbs? okay, 100lbs first then!
  • Runners' legs (still striving for 'em sexy calves/legs!)

  • Run my first half marathon??!! -- nike women's marathon (oct 2010)
  • Run/complete SF marathon's progressive marathon/5K in july (i can't do the half or full marathon, my leg's still not 100%)
